5.1) Discuss Issues, Trends, Future, outlook of tourism industry and their implications.
My Article is about Issue Facing In the Travel and Tourism Industry.

Introduction:
Tourism is a major economic and social significant that has been recognized in both developed
and developing countries. Tourism is the temporary movement of people to destinations outside
their normal places of work and residence. The activities undertaken during their stay in these
destinations by facilities are meant to cater the needs of the consumer. The act of traveling for
pleasure is a luxury. Until recently only a restricted few had the time and money to travel.
Increasing leisure, higher incomes and greatly enhanced mobility have combined to enable more
people to partake in travel. But Also Got More Issues happening in Tourism Industry.

Issue 1.) View the world carefully.
The political world will continue to be unstable and when instability hits people are less likely to
spend money on luxury items such as travel. Political instability is now a major concern in
Africa and Latin America, with the Middle East, Europe, and North America open to terrorism
attacks and Latin America still suffering from high levels of crime and drug trafficking.
Furthermore, no one knows how Europe’s refugee crisis will play out and what the consequences
of increased crime will be on European tourism. Brazil, along with much of Latin America, is
suffering from both issues of crime and issues of health and sanitation.

Issue 2.)
Be aware of the lack of trained personnel.
Because many tourism areas have grown rapidly there are too many locations where there is a
dearth of skilled labor. Tourism needs people who are both inspired and well trained. Yet, too
few people in the tourism industry speak multiple languages, are proficient in high tech computer
skills or have a good knowledge of statistics and how to utilize them. This lack of education and
training creates not only numerous financial losses but also creates lost opportunities and the
inability to adapt to new challenges.

Issue 3.)
Low Salaries, recruitment and retention.
Many on line and front line workers receive low salaries, have low levels of job loyalty, and
change jobs with high level of rapidity. This high turnover level makes training difficult and
often each time a person leaves, the information is lost. To make matters even more challenging
these are often the person with whom visitors come in contact. The formula tends to guarantee
low job satisfaction and low levels of customer satisfaction. This situation has resulted in the
lack of availability of skilled manpower by the travel and tourism industry, one of the largest if
not the largest employment generators in the world. If tourism is to be a sustainable product, then
it needs to turn part-time jobs into careers without pricing itself out of the market. If the travel
and tourism industry hopes to continue to grow it will need trained personnel, and a willing and
enthusiastic workforce at every level from the managerial, to skilled workers to the semi-skilled
worker.

Issue 4.)
The need to develop or update tourism infrastructure.
Around the world tourism suffers from poor infrastructure. These infrastructure challenges range
from substandard docks and ports of entry to modes of transport to urban infrastructure such as
access roads, electricity, water supply, sewerage and telecommunication. As airplanes begin to
carry more people airports will face not only the problems of handling large numbers of arriving
passengers but also will need to find ways to unload luggage faster, and transit people through
immigration and customs lines. The lack of infrastructure will also impact issues of security as
governments attempt to ferret out potential terrorists while creating a warm and welcoming
arrival experience.

Issue 5.)
Nothing works if visitors are afraid and not secure.
The spread of terrorist groups throughout the world, and what seems to be the “pandemic du
jour” are major threats to tourism. Tourism must learn to create not merely security and safety
but “surety” – the interaction between the two. That means that locations without TOPPs
(tourism policing) programs will suffer and eventually decline. Private security and public
security will need to learn to interact and work well not only with each other but with the media
and marketers. The old and outdated adage that security scares visitors is more and more being
replaced with the adage that the lack of security provokes fear among visitors. Cyber-crime will
continue to be another major challenge the travel industry faces. Tourism cannot merely hobble
from pandemics and health crisis to the next. Also, unless the travel and tourism industry can
protect visitor privacy and lower the incidents of fraud, it will face an ever greater and daunting
challenge during 2016.

5.4 DISCUSS THE CONCEPT OF TRAVEL AND TOURISM FROM ISLAMIC PERSPECTIVE. Islamic Tourism can defined as any activity, event and experience, undertaken in a state of travel that is in accordance with Islam. Another , Islamic Travel is travelling that is done in compliance with the syariah which is Islamic laws. The Islamic tourism concept will found from Islamic Fiqh , which is performing Hajj, performing Umrah, Musaffir, Jihad and Tolab al-‘ilmi , seeking knowledge. The first one of concept in Islamic Fiqh is performing Hajj. It is can get clearly when Hajj is one of the Islamic forms of tourism. Secondly is performing Umrah. It is also the same thing as Hajj but Umrah can give us experience when it will continuing for Hajj later. Thirdly, musaffir can be shows when Allah asked us to travel through the earth to take the lessons from the other people that came before us. Next is Jihad, it is need a strong heart to continues the Jihad along the journey. For the examples, when someone go to teaching or learning and when travel to save country from colonizer. Lastly is seeking knowledge from the environment or someone. People travel to gain knowledge, learn about history of other people, and widen their perspective about life and their understanding of human civilization. In Islam history, travelling by Prophet Muhammad to spread the Islamic teaching has encouraged Muslim tourists to travel to learn more about Islamic thought and civilization. Then, the concept of Islamic Tourism also can be considered as Ibadah and Da’wah where tourists travel from one place to another place and also known as “Penghijrahan”. Furthermore, an Islamic tourism concept also brewed with economic concept, cultural concept and religion conservation concept. Firstly, economic concept can shows it aimed the expansion of tourism within the Muslim world, new tourist destination and strengthening institutional and government cooperation inside the Muslim world. Next is cultural concept that focuses on Islamic topics in the organization of tourist programs and present Islamic heritage sites, which is Muslim tourist can visit. It is because, travelling is highly recommended by the Qur'an. Last concept is conservation religion concept. It aims the adjustment of the tourist industries to the fundamental interpretations of Islam, including gender segregated and alcohol free venues. Concept of travel and tourism from Islamic perspective also have the principles which is when start a plan to travel, choosing a good friend. For a women to have a mahram, except for certain cases. Another is make sure having a healthy body when travelling either mental or physical. If planning a trip to travel, make sure the destination is safety from dangerousness because it can spoiling the travel. Next, Islamic has learnt us to respect each other, so when go to travel respecting other’s culture and behavior as much as possible. Maintaining the moral of Islamic anywhere or everywhere destination are decide. There are also have a benefits of Islamic Tourism that we can see which is Islamic travelling can give us a good experience and new knowledge when we follow the Islamic morality. Another, it also give us chance to be a discipline person when go somewhere else. For the example, Islam have prohibit us to go travel with non mahram, then we decide to go with the same gender so that we can avoid from any bad thing happens. I think Islamic Tourism can protect Muslim from influence by west culture when go to travel. Besides, Muslim can improving the quality of Islamic Tourism in the world for let Muslim people travel easier. I hope this concept are will continue and do not will forgetting. In addition, the benefits in Islamic Tourism is we can follow Allah’s instruction first which is performing the Umrah or Hajj based on our ability. Other than that, we also can improving our self to becoming a good person . The conclusion is , whenever have more perspective from other’s religions, Islamic perspective in travel and tourism is a easier to follow and understanding. Besides, tourism is not haram in principle, but what comes with it is that makes it halal or haram, and this is the responsibility of the Muslim countries. 5.4 Discuss the issues related to sustainable development in Tourism and hospitality industry.

5.4 Discuss the issues related to sustainable development in Tourism and hospitality industry.
In my own opinion SustainAbility’s annual trends report, in which we explore the key global trends
impacting businesses as they transition towards a more sustainable economy. In 2019 we expect to see
continued political instability, more pronounced climate impacts and accelerating rates of biodiversity
loss. While the scale and complexity of the sustainability challenges we face is daunting, there is also
reason for optimism.
For the first time, we are also sharing deeper analysis of five sectors: food & agriculture, technology,
pharmaceuticals & healthcare, energy & utilities and financial services. In our sector trends, we explore
the key issues facing these rapidly changing industries and discuss emerging solutions. We hope you
enjoy the report, and as always, we welcome your feedback.
Included in the initiative are 17 different goals that all member states are striving to achieve which are
detailed in the U.N.’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). A major element to these goals is the
promotion of sustainable development .
Issues
1.Goals for Jobs in Sustainable Development to Impact CRE.
One of the goals in the SDG is to promote jobs in sustainable development. That includes backing
startups in the industry as well as large corporations looking to increase their green profile.
2. Sustainable Development in E-Commerce Logistics to Impact CRE.
Supply chains are one of the largest sources of pollution around the globe. Other initiatives in addition
to the SDG will have a huge impact on logistics assets that support e-commerce thereby affecting
industrial CRE. Long term sustainability is directly tied to socio-economic factors in many countries.
3. Smart Tech in Sustainable Development to Impact CRE.
Autonomous vehicles are still a ways off for highly developed countries. The technology is even farther
away for LDCs. In the meantime, other types of Smart technologies are leading the way to improving
overall efficiency and sustainability in the CRE sector. For one, smart buildings themselves are helping
businesses save money on energy costs while conserving energy and reducing waste and pollution.
4.Corporate Partnering for Sustainability to Impact CRE.
Some companies are partnering up to help meet industry requirements for sustainable development.
Take for instance Nestle which has partnered with Danone to improve the sustainability of their water
bottling process. Expect more of this in the food and beverage sector as well as grocery and retail.
5.Greater Investment in Sustainable Development Projects to Impact CRE.
Now more than ever, there are dozens of watchdog groups and non-profits monitoring corporate
sustainability efforts. Investors are now factoring in sustainability efforts when deciding where to invest.
